As part of SDC’s mandate to enhance decent work conditions for all workers in the Sahab municipality stone-cutting area, id:rc was contracted by the Swiss Development Corporation to implement a tailored Technical Assistance program for the Implementation of the following measures:
1) Building the Capacity of Workers in Stone Cutting Workshops on OSH
2) Support the stonecutting enterprises in marketing their final products
3) Define the Requirements for Obtaining a License for Stone Cutting Facilities to Include OHS
4) Empower the role of different government agencies to inspect stone cutting facilities
5) Providing technical assistance to the enterprises to improve workplace safety
